It’s not everyday you get to visit a place like The Netherlands. A beautiful place with a long list of even more beautiful attractions to visit. There’s a futuristic vibe when you visit the bigger cities in Holland. It’s like they’ve taken a leap 30 years forward, and the rest of us get to go get a glimpse for our own pleasure. Bike paths are everywhere, people are a lot more calm, and the appreciation for art is absolutely magnificent. The amount of museums you can visit while in Holland is wonderful.. See works by Van Gogh, Rembrandt, Vermeer and many more during your stay. If you have the time, you can drive toward the coast and enjoy the vast tulip fields along the way. Holland exports billions of tulips every year, and it’s amazing to go see the crop first hand.

Body: There’s a concept we learned from a Dutch traveller many years ago. She taught us the importance, and significance, of “following the follower”. There’s an inherent fear involved with being a follower. People look at it as an injury to their pride. However, our friend pointed out that it’s exactly the opposite. Being able to follow is almost as hard, if not harder, than being able to leave. It’s actually incredibly freeing to heed her advice. We found ourselves at a karaoke bar dancing on tables to whichever song was playing. It takes a certain kind of person to take the lead on something, and it takes an equally important kind of person to be the first follower.
