Homemade Pumpkin Spice Latte
Earlier this week I shared how to order a Pumpkin Spice Latte at Starbucks to save 354 calories and 26 grams of sugar. I also shared why I dare to drink it even though it contains horrible chemicals.
In an effort to provide yet another (healthier) option, I spent some time in the kitchen creating a delicious, homemade pumpkin spice latte, free of chemicals and excess sugar.
To maintain a balanced, healthy diet this should be considered a treat, not a daily beverage. But when you do indulge, it will definitely be worth it.

Homemade Pumpkin Spice Latte
(serves 2-3)
Ingredients:
2 cups vanilla almond milk (or milk of choice)
2 tablespoons canned pumpkin
1-2 teaspoons coconut sugar (omit or adjust if you used sweetened almond milk)
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon pumpkin spice
2 cups coffee
Directions:
Combine milk, pumpkin, and coconut sugar in a saucepan over medium heat.
Heat until steaming and whisk regularly.
Add vanilla extract and pumpkin spice, mixing well.
Transfer all ingredients to a blender and blend for 10 seconds. This will create a nice, creamy foam (feel free to skip this part if you’d like).
Sprinkle with pumpkin pie spice and enjoy!
