Sweet Tooth (chocolate-peanut butter) Smoothie
I rarely get cravings, but when I do they come on strong. The thought of a chocolate-peanut butter milkshake came to mind and couldn’t let it go.
Since I avoid dairy, most ice cream shops are out of the question. And since I try to eat real, whole foods I wandered to the kitchen to see what I could come up with on my own.
I had a vague memory of this Oh She Glows smoothie in my mind, so all credit to her for the original inspiration.
I used what I had on hand and it turned out really good. So good that I’ll have to refrain from making this multiple times per day. 🙂

Sweet Tooth Smoothie
1 cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk (or milk of choice)
1 frozen banana (the riper the better)
1 teaspoon raw cocoa or cocoa powder
1 tablespoon natural peanut butter
1 teaspoon chia seeds *
sprinkle of cinnamon
drizzle of pure, maple syrup
*I mix 1 part chia seeds with 2 parts water and store them in the fridge. This makes them smooth, easy to blend, and adds a nice creaminess to my smoothies.
Blend and enjoy!
